Launched in May 2023, the Mara-Mediterra Living Lab overseen by AMENHYD, will be sharing the first results from the trials it is conducting on a novel, micro-ecosystem based afforestation protocol.

Through this effort, AMENHYD has the ambition to bring a new lease of life to the Algeria’s flagship project, known as the Green Dam. The experimental trials to create a wooded steppe are being conducted in Djelfa, also known as the Gateway to the Sahara.

The results will be shared on the occasion of a workshop entitled ‘Nature-based solutions: Innovative techniques for revitalising the Green Dam’ which will take place at the Yahia Farès University in Médéa on 29 November 2023.
