This booklet brings a description of the land and water degradation challenges in each of the 5 hotspots of the Mara-Mediterra project. Further to a description of the root causes and impacts, a mission statement is included which informs about the array of agro-ecological practices that will be tested and validated by the local communities in each of the hotspots, which will be combined with novel eco-engineering solutions.
