Mara-Mediterra’s first training set is dedicated to the topic of minimum tillage.
The observed benefits and the observed limits of minimum tillage are outlined.
Minimum tillage is considered as one of the 3 main principles that define conservation agriculture, the other principles having regard to the need for the soil to be covered and the diversification of crops being cultivated.
The training material is linked to the testimony of Tonino Congiu, a farmer who tills the land in Tuscany, Italy.
